Introduction
Marble is formed under immense pressure and temperatures over time. All types of marble have unique features such as veining and crystallization, along with variations in color, structure, and pattern. Marble is an exquisite natural material, showcasing unique structures and a vibrant life. With usage, marble may develop marks, including scratches and discolorations, adding to its character.
Each marble top is unique, varying in color, pattern, gloss, and structure.
Heat and Acid Sensitivity
Marble is sensitive to heat and must be protected. We strongly recommend using heat mats for warm objects placed on marble surfaces.
As a form of limestone, marble is intolerant to any type of acid. Immediate action is essential if acidic liquids like sparkeling water is spilled on the surface. Swiftly remove the spill, rinse with clean water, and dry with a clean, dry cloth to prevent damage.
Daily Cleaning
For daily cleaning, use a cloth wrung in clean, lukewarm water. Stubborn stains can be removed with quartz-free scouring polish. Avoid abrasive sponges and remember to clean the entire surface for a consistent result.
Maintenance
Our marble tops are treated with a water-based sealer before delivery. It is advisable to reapply a water-based sealer for marble once or twice a year.
This treatment can be done independently, with water-based sealers readily available at most well-stocked hardware stores.
Warning
Marble is not compatible with decalcifying agents or bleaching products. Using such products will damage the surface irreversibly, and the original appearance cannot be restored. Exercise caution and avoid these substances to preserve the beauty of your marble surface.
