The PLAYchair Tube combines a softly shaped upholstered shell with the light, precise expression of a slender steel tube frame. The balanced construction offers lasting comfort without feeling heavy in the room.
The redesigned armrests provide comfortable support and are upholstered in the same material and colour as the chair.
The shell is made from 12 mm pressed FSC®-certified beech veneer and padded with 20 mm Oeko-Tex®-certified cold-cured foam. The selected fabric and colour continue across the armrests, creating a calm and coherent expression.
The 16 mm powder-coated steel tube frame provides a strong, balanced base and gives the chair its clean, timeless silhouette.
The new armrest construction allows the chair to hang from the tabletop, lifting it clear of the floor. This makes cleaning beneath and around the table easier and gives a robot vacuum unobstructed access.

FSC®-certified beech veneer, Oeko-Tex®-certified cold-cured foam and carefully finished upholstery support a durable chair designed for many years of use.
To use space efficiently during transport, the PLAY Arm Chair Tube Fabric is packed two chairs per box. The packaging is made from FSC®-certified paper.
As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time.
The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.
Basic Leather
Vacuum clean once or twice a month with a soft brush to remove any dust. Once or twice a year for thorough cleaning, use the foam from soap flakes stirred in warm water. Apply the foam with a dry soft cloth, minimising any contact with water. Avoid bar soap, saddle soap, leather cleaners, household detergents or chemical products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects.

Crafted using 45% recycled wool, Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat’s yarn spinners in the UK. It is designed by Margrethe Odgaard. The idea was to create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material from Kvadrat’s own production’, explains Margrethe Odgaard. Reminiscent of colourful stitchings on a darker background, Re-wool features exceptional depth of colour, creating a dynamic play on the textile’s surface when applied to furniture.

Kvadrat’s first textile ‘Hallingdal’ has become the archetype of woollen textiles. The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, and is now available in a version with an updated colour scale: Hallingdal 65.
Hallingdal 65 is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.
