Designed by: Peter Barreth
Luxurious comfort and sculptural oak frame
The Reason Sofa with chaiselong is the ultimate expression of relaxed Scandinavian luxury. Designed by Peter Barreth, this elegant piece merges mid-century inspiration with contemporary comfort. The visible solid oak frame forms a strong, sculptural foundation beneath the sofa, adding a warm natural contrast to the smooth upholstery. It’s a detail that showcases true craftsmanship and gives the sofa its distinctive light and airy character.
With its generous proportions and extended chaiselong section, this version invites you to fully unwind. Whether you prefer the left- or right-facing configuration, the Reason Sofa offers sublime comfort thanks to its Oeko-Tex® certified high-density cold-cured foam in both seat and backrest. The chaiselong version is delivered in two parts for easy handling and assembly, ensuring a seamless fit in any home.
Available in a curated selection of premium fabrics – including exclusive textiles from Kvadrat – the Reason Sofa allows you to customize its look to complement your interior perfectly. Each fabric has been selected for its enduring beauty, texture, and resistance to wear.
Handcrafted in Europe using traditional techniques, the Reason Sofa with chaiselong embodies the quality and precision that define true Danish furniture design. The solid oak base anchors the design with timeless warmth, making it an elegant centerpiece for both private and professional interiors.
Sustainability
Produced in Europe with care and responsibility, the Reason Sofa is built with FSC® certified solid oak and Oeko-Tex® certified cold-cured foam. A sustainable choice that combines beauty, comfort, and craftsmanship.
Packaging
Delivered in two sections for easier transport, the Reason Sofa with chaiselong is securely packed in FSC® certified paper-based packaging.
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the upholstery textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its retardant properties, eventually it can also change the color of the fabric
Vacuum clean every week
Vacuum frequently, ideally every week, at half power with a soft brush on the vacuum cleaner.
Stain Removal
Remove stains as soon as they occur, this will increase the chance of removing the stains completely. Remove stains with clean warm water or sparkling water.
Please note that these tips are for guidance only. We recommend contacting a professional furniture cleaning company for stain removal.
