PLAYchair Tube
Designed by: Bruunmunch og Claus Simonsen
Dining room chair
The PLAYchair is a versatile Danish-designed chair made of sustainable, high-quality materials that can be used in the kitchen, living room, office, entrance, bedroom, or the modern home office.
The chair is upholstered by skilled craftsmen who carefully select and hand-cut the leather used for the upholstery. The shell consists of 12 mm pressed FSC certified beech veneer, upholstered with 20 mm Oeko-Tex certified cold cured foam, providing an excellent seating comfort. The chair is upholstered with Oeko-Tex certified protected leather, which has a smooth, polished surface with a subtle fine-printed texture. The leather is water-repellent, dirt-repellent, stain-resistant, durable, and easy to maintain.
The frame is made of 16 mm powder-coated steel. The tube frame is stackable, but we do not recommend stacking the fully upholstered chairs for extended periods of time as it may leave marks in the upholstery.
The contoured upholstered veneer shell gives the chair a timeless and modern look. The chair is available with and without armrests, so you can choose the version that best fits your decor. The armrests can be added later if you wish to add them.
Sustainability
The PLAYchair is made of FSC certified beech veneer and Oeko-Tex certified cold cured foam and leather, so you can be sure you are investing in a sustainable piece of furniture.
Packaging
The PLAYchair is packed with two chairs per box to optimize shipping as much as possible. The packaging is made of FSC certified paper, of course.
Product care
As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time.
The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.
Basic Leather
Vacuum clean once or twice a month with a soft brush to remove any dust. Once or twice a year for thorough cleaning, use the foam from soap flakes stirred in warm water. Apply the foam with a dry soft cloth, minimising any contact with water. Avoid bar soap, saddle soap, leather cleaners, household detergents or chemical products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects.

Crafted using 45% recycled wool, Re-wool is a rich upholstery textile with a sustainable profile. The textile is partly made by reusing scraps from Kvadrat’s yarn spinners in the UK. It is designed by Margrethe Odgaard. The idea was to create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material from Kvadrat’s own production’, explains Margrethe Odgaard.
