Chiara – where Danish design tradition meets handcrafted luxury and lasting comfort.
As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time.
The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.
Davos Leather
Only vacuum clean with a soft brush. Never use soap or water otherwise the velvety look and feel will disappear. Do not apply leather grease or soak the leather. Avoid any chemical products, such as saddle soap, other leather cleaners or household products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects.
Oiled Wood Frame
The wooden frame is treated with oil and can be maintained occasionally using our Bruunmunch care sets. If the wood appears dry or dull, it can be lightly sanded before treatment using the sanding sponges included in our care set—always sanding gently in the grain direction, as described in our care guide. After sanding, clean the wood with a soft cloth wrung out in clean water and allow it to dry completely.
When the wood is clean and dry, oil can be applied as needed. Always apply the oil with a cloth or sponge and never pour oil directly on the wood.
Important: Protect the leather during any wood maintenance. We strongly recommend dismounting the leather before sanding or oiling the frame to prevent accidental damage or oil stains.
Never use chemicals, detergents, scouring pads, steel wool or similar, as these will discolor or damage the surface.

Enticing to touch with a subtle texture, Semi-aniline is a hidden gem with a classy look.
Semi-aniline is now certified with the German Blue Angel Ecolabel (Der Blaue Engel).
