The Lobster Chair, designed by the renowned Danish duo Lund & Paarmann, is a sculptural statement and a true design icon. In this fully upholstered edition, both the front and back are elegantly covered in premium leather, creating a softer, more refined expression while preserving the chair’s distinctive silhouette. The result is a harmonious balance of comfort, craftsmanship, and timeless Danish design.

Since its introduction in 2008, the Lobster Chair has been celebrated for its bold character and exceptional comfort. Its organic, embracing shape cocoons the body, offering a sense of privacy and relaxation whether you are reading, resting, or simply unwinding. The fully upholstered shell enhances this experience, adding visual warmth and a rich, tactile softness from every angle.

Crafted with precision, the chair features a carefully engineered shell padded with Oeko-Tex® certified cold-cured foam, ensuring lasting comfort and support. Upholstered in high-quality leather, the chair is available in both refined semi-aniline leather and exclusive aniline options such as Davos. From the soft, silky touch and subtle sheen of semi-aniline to the more natural, velvety character of aniline leather, each finish offers its own unique expression while developing a beautiful patina over time. The continuous upholstery across both front and back highlights the chair’s sculptural form, making it equally striking when viewed from behind.

The base is available in black powder-coated steel for a bold, contemporary look, or in matte chrome-plated stainless steel for a lighter, more refined aesthetic. A 360° swivel function and a specially developed suspension system provide subtle movement, enhancing the overall seating experience.

For added comfort, the Lobster Footstool is available as a perfect companion, echoing the chair’s iconic curves and completing the lounge experience.

Packaging

The chair is delivered in FSC® certified paper-based packaging, carefully designed to protect both the product and the environment.

As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time.

The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.

Davos Leather

Only vacuum clean with a soft brush.

Semi-Aniline Leather

Vacuum clean once or twice a month with a soft brush to remove any dust. Once or twice a year for thorough cleaning, use the foam from soap flakes stirred in warm water. Apply the foam with a dry soft cloth, minimizing any contact with water. Never use soap or water otherwise the velvety look and feel will disappear. Do not apply leather grease or soak the leather. Avoid any chemical products, such as saddle soap, other leather cleaners or household products. Satin Chrome-Plated Stainless Steel

Chrome surfaces are resistant to dirt and liquids.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Clean the surface with a dry or damp cloth wrung out in soapy water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
